The Asia Expo Singapore and Fujian Commodities Expo Singapore are set to take place from Nov 14 to Nov 16 at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Singapore.
This will be the final opportunity for Singaporean buyers to snag competitively priced goods made in China and Asia and targeted at the growing Southeast Asian markets.
The 2012 expo aims to build on the successful experience of last year and is still split into two individual sections.
The Fujian Commodities Expo Singapore will feature more than 400 booths operated by Chinese mainland enterprises from Fujian province.
The Asia Expo Singapore will display a broad spectrum of 400 exhibitors from the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, South Korea, the Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.
Although the two sections have different themes, they are presented under one roof for the convenience of Asian and regional professional buyers visiting to source new products and identify new trading partners.
The two exhibitions will become showcases of high-quality, competitively priced gifts and luxury items, housewares, toys and baby products, consumer electronics and gadgets, stationery, and festive and seasonal necessities.
Repeat last year's success
During the three trading days in 2011, the inaugural year of the expo saw more than 6,000 visitors from all over Asia, including Australia, India, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam.
Buyers had the opportunity to meet with 600 exhibitors and place orders for a range of merchandise produced in Hong Kong, Taiwan, the Chinese mainland, Indonesia, South Korea, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.
The first year was praised by exhibitors and visitors alike.
Its success derives from the fact that China and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations are close neighbors and desire win-win cooperation, the organizational committee said.
Due to the prosperity of China's economy, many domestic exporters and manufacturers have been enlarging their business networks. Meanwhile, ASEAN has established strong economic connections through free-trade agreements with China, India, Japan, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand to exploit opportunities in these markets.
Like last year, this year's show will also coincide with the peak year-end sourcing period for most international buyers, so it provides the ideal situation for buyers to wrap up their autumn sourcing trip to Asia.
The organizers of the two events are Kenfair Exhibition (Hong Kong) Ltd and the Fujian provincial government.
